All these adorable puppy pictures recently make it kind of obvious why so many newf and newf mixes end up in shelters. Who can resist those puppy faces. All puppies are adorable, but newf pups take the cake. (I may be slightly biased.)
Shortly after Morgan came to us, we were in Duluth at the time of the John Beargrease sled dog race. They were having a cute puppy contest so we decided to go check it out. Morgan was still too young to enter -- they had to be 4 mo. with all shots, but they let us bring her in the building as long as we kept her away from the other puppies. Morgan won the unofficial people's choice award. There were always more people packed around her than any of the others!
She took it all in stride and just stretched out on the floor to sleep. Being admired was very hard work.

As said before we thrive for newf--anything. Such a wonderful picture. I want a puppy so bad, but I keep giving rescues a home instead. So I get my puppy fix looking at all the photos. Please MORE photos

I know what you mean, Jeannie. I was going to make my third dog a newf pup, when my friend offered me her lab pup that they didn't have time for anymore. She is the cutest and sweetest little thing (and has a lot of newf qualities from what I gather here). I don't regret taking her, but my newf pup has gotten a little delayed. Like you, I get my puppy fix from these wonderful pics everyone takes. Although...I asked a friend if I could look at her newfs tomorrow and she happens to have a litter there. (They are all spoken for) It will be fun anyway, and there's always next yrs. litter!
