She has been bleeding since July 23rd and it has been a steady amount of bleeding every day. She will have a small drop of blood roughly every 30 seconds, and sometimes the bleeding will stop for a couple of minutes.

That's not quite two weeks yet..so I wouldn't be alarmed. Some bitches just bleed like that, much more than others. I wouldn't be concerned unless it kept on beyond 21 days....then I would have her checked.

Thanks again, Cindy. I read that it should be somewhere around 7 days. Good to know that this is within the norm. It hasn't been hard to manage as she is fine wearing the diaper and seems to be acting pretty normal. Although, I got baby wipes and latex gloves to clean her every day and recently when I have cleaned that area, she squirts blood as if she's scared I'm messing with her there. I figure even if she is scared, it's best to use the wipes because it doesn't smell to pretty.

They all have their own style :) I have some that don't bleed at ALL, and in the past I had one that dripped everywhere she went. It shouldn't last much longer, and if she is bleeding that much and it DOES go on much longer, I would think about having her checked, but at this point, it sounds like she just has a heavy heat. She will become more and more swollen and soft, and then begin to firm up again, and usually, the bleeding will stop around that time. But..like I said..every bitch has her own style...and variations are HER normal. I'd think the "squirting blood" is a vulva reaction to being touched, she's probably flexing the muscles back there like they do when they are being bred.,,and anything that is in the final area of the vagina is coming out because of the contracting muscles.
