FOOD !!!!

Saturday night is taken care of. I think the original plan was that everyone would take care of themselves for the other meals. At one point, I think we talked about putting out lunch meats and other lunch stuff for saturday, so if you want to organize that, that would be great.

As for continental breakfasts, that may be tough, because it's hard to say who will be coming when. And on Sunday, I'm guessing everyone will begin to leave at different times.

Jeannie mentioned earlier about ordering pizza on Friday night, and there had also been talk about going into town for dinner. Rumor has it that there's a great Mexican restaurant.

Hope this helps!

Nita,

How about Friday night we plan to eat out or get pizza. Saturday morning we could have something light, then we need some sort of lunch on Saturday.

Saturday night I have a caterer scheduled. We will be having a BBQ picnic of grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, brats, potato salad, relish tray, baked beans, fruit salad, assorted melons, assorted salads, ice tea, & lemonade. All that for $9 per person.

Sunday breakfast would be great--something easy though. We have no bakery in town, but the grocery stores have bakerys with great donuts.

Just make a menu and sign up sheet. You are the boss.

Oh I have one fridge in the house and one small small one in the kennel. Better plan on coolers and ice.

Hate to ask, but what are we going to do with 40-something dogs, if we go out to eat? Would pizza be easier? I hesitate to leave Maggie in her crate in a hotel room. After a 10+ hour car ride, she's going to need to be stretching her legs.

WEll, I have 20 indoor/outdoor kennels and 6 outside kennels and 5 inside kennels. They will be available on a first come first serve basis as long as a customer is not boarding a dog.

Since I can't be there, I'll send up some Tim Tams to Shawn to bring if she is going so I'm embodied in a biscuit, if not in person. :D

Thank you all for your response.
Jeannie, the BBQ sounds wonderful. Thank you so much for all your hard work you have done.
Annie, did I read your post right? You said Great Mexican Food? CAN WE GO PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!!!!! I will just bring some extra pills with me and I’ll will be fine.

This week – end I will make a list of the thing I put in my salads and a list of other things for Sat lunch and Sunday morning. ----- Sorry SCNC members but no biscuits & gravy this time. Since I’m not at home it will just have to be fruit and doughnuts or beagles and cream cheese. Just something light and quick.
I will put the list up Monday morning that way we will all have plenty of time do decide if it is what everyone wants or what you want to bring.
THIS IS SUPPOSE TO BE A FUN TIME SO I DON’T WANT ANYONE SPENDING A LOT OF MONEY ON GETTING THING FOR LUNCH. Remember we are having a GREAT BBQ that night

I think breakfast should be light--donuts, bagels, juices, milk, coffee and such.

For lunch cold meat sandwiches--just get everything and let each person make their own sandwich as they want. Also Gary says don't forget the junk food--chips, cheese popcorn (his favorite)pretzels and such.

NITA--this is to tell you NOT to go overboard. I know what a great job you do for the SCNC functions. BUT this is FUN and you are here to enjoy just like everyone else. If you post a list everyone can say what they can bring. Now hear this NITA you are to organize this not do it all. Understand?? :D

By the way the mexican resturant is wonderful!!! They have a brunch on Sundays that is to die for (that is if they still have it--Gary hates it so I seldom get to enjoy it)

Tim Tams are these addictive chocolate coated biscuits...not like biscuits-and-gravy biscuits but more like a cookie. They're great!

Moose's Mom in Indy,
If you by chance are doing sea food, please, please keep it separate and labled. Thank you.

Annie,
Tim tams are the best darn cookies I have ever tasted. Everytime Amy sends them, Jordan and I try to out-eat each other! Amy could send 12 boxes and they would be gone is 3-4 days!!

Yes, it's hard to diet with such a great friend that sends such sinful stuff! :D
