Was doing some burning off at my partner's property in preparation for the summer and thought I might try taking a photo of the fire with my new camera (canon 1000D), this is the result I got, I am pretty happy with it considering I still don't know how to operate the camera properly.

That is neat! It seems so odd to hear that people still burn at their houses. Since we live in such a bad fire danger area we cannot burn anything. We still burn in our fireplace, but the Government doesn't even like that much. In fact in some areas now you can't use your fireplace at all. So enjoy your burning AND your new camera!
