Luca's dad mine are the same way and they get fed twice a day too, I give them lots of veggies for lunch to hold them through LOL. Mine can just finish their dinner or breakfast and if I start to fix something to eat you would think by the way they circle you they haven't eaten in days LOL

He is a big boy considering he still has filling out to do. I think most feed twice a day. How much are you feeding per day or per feeding? Rory gets 3 cups a day.

Wow he sure does sound like a big boy. Mine also get 3 cups a day split in 2 meals. Along with pumpkin, and yogurt.

Kodi, just over 2 years old is now getting 2 cups Wysong + veggies per day. He's 156 lbs and needs to loose weight. Riley, 19 months gets 3 cups Wysong divided into 2 meals + veggies. I would guess he's around 125 lbs.

My 5 and 8 m.o. eat twice a day. They have diet breakfast: rolled oats cereal soaked in milk with honey and raisins, from time to time I give them cottage cheeze or iogurt for breakfast. They have beef ribs/marrow bones, baby carrots, milk bones..for snacks during day.
In the evening they have 1,5 cups of their Martin's K9 holistic formula with vitamins,garlic..twice a gay I add fresh eggs with shell, couple of times I add vegetables with veg.oil. They have very good appetite, they don't have any food aggression, they eat together. You can take a bone any time you want, they will share! And they are in good shape, you can feel the ribs. ;)

2 of my girls get three cups a day of good quality food and they hold their weight. The third, Emma, who has a great deal of bone and is 18 mo. old loses weight if I give her 3 cups. She is on 6 cups a day. She is in the same physical conditon as the other two girls, just needs more food.

I think if you find Luca is in good condition with the amount you feed him, you're doing fine. But, metalbolisms can differ from dog to dog. Acting hungry is a Newfy state of mind
and I wouldn't let it sway my decision about the amount to feed.

well this monster puppy gets 5 cups once a day. sometimes blended with Tuna or Salmon. He is well proprtioned and not fat......I just want to make sure he is getting enough or too much....But he does have a bottomless pit for a stomach if there is any kinda of food around he wants some....But that must be the newfie in him.......thanks again
