He is a beauty! He is a Pouch Cove newf and is expected to win Westminster. As much as I would love to see him win, I am a little partial to my breeders entry, Jordan.

Lynn,
Jordan is a beautiful boy!
On our way to the National one year we picked up Jordan on the Tappan Zee Bridge.
In telling the story, a friend makes it sound like he was wandering on the bridge (all in fun, of course). Jordan's owners couldn't go to the National that year but wanted Jordan there- Jordan was just a puppy at the time. So we made arrangements to meet J&J at the construction site on the west side of the bridge.

Ha, Linda! I got the same thought in reading your first sentence that Jordan was wandering across the bridge or something! I can't imagine J&J letting that happen! That was nice of you to give him a lift to the show.

Here is a picture of Jordan in the winners circle at Planting Fields last Fall.

What a handsome boy! I actually did watch the Eukanuba show last night. I loved Josh. I've always been partial to the Pouch Cove dogs. Of course, mine is not a very practiced eye and I couldn't tell you what my own dogs' weak points would be in the show ring. But there's just something about the Pouch Cove "look."

I don't know about Ralees Winddancer, Sam's pedigree I got does not go back that far I presume. I do see a Ralee's Lewis and a Ralee's Seawind Rhonda as Arthur's dam's parents. That would make them Sam's Great Great grandparents. And Sam's mother's mom is Ralees Katie Can Do It.

your dog and mine are partially related, king arthur is Raless winddancers daddy.
the movement in these lines is awesome to watch.
i get chills whenever i put the tape i have of dancer in the vcr.
i have also seen king at shows around here, and he was gorgous.
kaylar is known for movement, my morgan proves it.
good for you!
Sydney is a son of Ralees winddancer and king is his granddaddy.

I was so disappointed that I missed Josh. Missed the show last Saturday night, was excited to see it repeated Tuesday I think, then fell asleep!!! Does anyone remember when the working dogs competed in the show? Near the beginning or end so if it comes on again I know where to look?

Just found out the other day that my newfie Herb's brother has been invited to the 2003 AKA Eukanuba Invitational as one of the top 25 newfies. His name is Socorro's Cruisin' to Nakiska (Cruiser) If you go to the this site, it will tell you how they're selected, the top 25 of each breed etc. I'm pretty excited for Cruiser. Cruiser got his championship at 13 months, and last summer got his VN at the water test. He is now 3 1/2 years old. And he LOVES to give kisses! He is one sweet boy.

The Eukanuba Classic is supposedly being shown on Sunday at 10 am (eastern time) on the Discovery channel (according to a commercial). Check your local listings. I'm hoping to finally watch it. Have missed it every other time it's been on.

crocknewf,

The listing you found on the AKC website is a rolling list of the top 25 that changes monthly. The actual list of invitees will not be finalized until the end of October 2003. Cruiser as well as my boy, Major (Ch. Newfland's Hightower) are ranked in the top 25 as of now. Let's hope that we can keep it up for another 9 months!
