Embroidery newfs etc...

well some friends of mine have 2 very expensive embroidery machines for doing shirts, i ordered a few landseer shirts with my kennel name on them, and they look great!
they offered to get me a cheaper machine, but hopefully has all the bells and whistles and they will train me on it!
i cant wait to see if they approve of the machine, normally they are upwards of 10,000$ and they got this one for 4,000
so i dont know how good it is.
but it will be fun to learn!
i need to cut down on the grooming, my tendons are going on me, and i noticed if i do less dogs a day they are much improved, embroidery i was told by them is "low impact" on the wrists and tendons! LOL
so....
i cant wait! ;)

LOL i will let you know if the needle stabs my fingers to! yowza!
i only hope i will be good at it.LOL
i may hear from them within the week, the good thing is i think that the work is farmed out from town here to others for embroidery work.
this way, once i get going (if i get going) i can pay off the machine in my own time, these guys have been great friends for years, i got emmett from them

hubby already has jobs lined up for the citizens academy thru the PD and other things he is involved in.

plus i can hit up the kennel club! :D

A Berner friend of mine got one of these this past summer. She's having a blast! As for patterns, I've asked her if there's anyway a photograph could be digitized. I know there's software to make cross stitch patterns out of photos... it would be so neat if they could be made for embroidery!

for him to let me know what he thinks.

he has been gone to trade shows a lot, so he has not had much spare time to play with it yet.

I just bought a baseball cap with a newfy head embroidered on it today. The machine was all computerized and it took about twenty minutes to do. Turned out very nice and they only charged 10 dollars. I thought that was pretty cheap!Looks like a fun investment!
