Ear trimming

Has any one ever used the Mars king comb to trim the excess hair off the ears? Wow, does it do wonders and less time than the thinning shears.

Yes. I start by outlining the ear with shears and then use the Mars Coat King to take off the excessive soft fuzzy hair. I don't show, but for the trimming and grooming I do, it works great.

A MCK on the ears? Wow, can anyone walk me (and other readers) through that? I just tried my hand at trimming Mila's ears myself (since I haven't been able to get her to the groomers since the week before her TPLO) and I absolutely mutiliated them  Thankfully I had the foresight to know not to take too much off in case I goofed it up! Using a MCK to neaten up ears could be just the thing for people like me!

I've used to correct the mess I made of the ears, as in I made steps and the Mck helped to reduce those steps.

Kristen, what I do is first use a scissors to trim the edge of the ear. So it has definition. Then I hold the ear up in the air and use the MCK to thin out the soft fuzzy hair under the ear and if needed on the sides (at base of ear) if the soft hair is long. Then if needed, I comb the top ear as it lays down LIGHTLY to shorten any hair that is getting long. Not sure if that is what you're asking or if that made sense.
