Dryer question - Metro Air Force

Has anyone used a Metro Air Force dryer. I am interested in the 4.0 hp model.

Can anyone compare it to other models available such as the K9 III?

Also, I have Berners, so not quite as much coat to dry in comparison to a Newfie.

I had one - fell apart. First just used on 1 newf. Then got second newf and Circuteer II ( the k9-III was not available back then). Used the Metro for grooming at a show - so light use, only fluff & puff as I call it. The cord frayed and was replaced, the the switch had to be replaced 2x, then it stopped working altogether. I replaced with a ChallengerAir - Already using this longer the the Metro.

Go with the K9 III if you can swing it...
It's pricey but well worth the money. It dries my Golden in about 30 minutes and my Newf in about an hour. And that's when they are soaking wet.

I have both. I use the Metro at shows because it's on wheels and a little easier when I'm in a hurry. The K9III is a lot more powerful and gets them dry faster when they are really wet. At a show - when I'm not bathing but lightly wetting and blowing up - it's fine. But the K9 is the ONLY dryer I use at home. I noticed a HUGE difference right away when we got the K9!!!

The K-9 III is a more more powerful dryer and a much better investment for a heavy coated dog owner. The Metro would be good for a show touch up but you would not find that it would dry a wet Berner completely. You are better off saving for the K-9 III so you don't have to buy two dryers over time. I have a K-9 III and really love it!
The Metro Commander is 11 amps of power and the K-9 III is 18.

So I can expect to purchase a K9III in about a year when Pae's full coat is in? I guess I'll be throwing the master Blaster on e-Bay?:kgo_027:
Right now its perfect. Of course Pae is only 9 months old too.:)
Geez..I can't imagine any MORE air than what I already use.
Funny quicky for you..I was using it in the family room after a romp in the river and a fast bath (because it was cold outside) and I acidentally pointed it at the fireplace while moving Sydney around.. DUH...you should have seen the ash fly!!

If you are happy with your Master Blaster, Debra, then stick with it! There is not need to switch unless you have a reason to. The Master Blaster is comparable to the K-9 II dryer. But I had a similar experience as you when I got my first high velocity dryer and tried it in the house! I found out the hard way how much newf hair was really hiding under the sofa and behind the TV, that I didn't know about!:shuffle:
