9 healthy hearty landseer pups, 3 males and 6 females, now we have to figure out who guessed today, (who woulda thunk they would arrive early!)
i truly did not expect them till the 16th!
anyway, they are all here, alive, no loss so far, and it went fast and easy! penny did fantastic, and is now resting comfy cozy with her brood.
we are excited, they are marked nicely and so far look like promising little monsters!

will post photos as soon as they are developed, maybe tomorrow or next day!
P.S.
Thank you all for your well wishes and positive thoughts! they truly did help!!!!
How are the other mammas to be?

What wonderful news. I'm very happy for you all. Maybe I'll have to drive up and see real newf professionals at work. Let me know if you welcome visitors as I'd love to see all your puppies and dogs.

Woohoo, that's fantastic Sar! I hope all is still well with you and your gang and can't wait to see the photos. Do they all have homes lined up? I'm sure you have a queue of people banging down your door.

Well done Penny!

Karen
so sorry bout the false pregnancy
i dont do pretest either, i would just rather measure around the belly.
i hope your other girl delivers safe and everyone is healthy
so far the pups today are doing real well.
i worry about fading the first week.
all are feeding and she has plenty of milk, and we are making sure everyone eats.
the first pup came out at 10:00 am the last at 3:00pm!
they all were in their sack, no one seperated from the placenta!
i was really pleased, i think morgan had 4 out of the sack with her litter of 9.
penny is a protective mommy, we have to keep everyone out of her room, so we have gaits up.
she is very attentive, careful, and loving, yet protecting them from the dogs, not us, anyone can come over to touch them and she is ok, we had a few people over to help, after i delivered the 3rd pup on my own, and she was totally relaxed around them.
i think morgan thinks those should be her pups, she was really eyeballing penny yesterday, they did get in a spat, so i have them seperated, from what i am told, it is very common with females.
so lesson well learned, morgan was very happy to share mothering duties with penny.
penny is not the same!
thanx guys for all the well wishes, am gonna go develop film this morning and than post the link to the photos this aft.

Hi Sar, what wonderful news. I'm sure you're going to have some sleepless nights now for the next few days anyway. Such good news that Penny had them so quickly and all are healthy. That's really all that matters.

Sorry to hear about Annie :( . I've been through that and it can seem SO real. But, you have Bria ready to deliver and so maybe Annie will be allowed to help her. And who knows, Annie may be doing the Devil thing and just carrying a few.

Devil is fine, she loves her whelping box. I placed 2 soft stuffies in there today for the babies and Devil had to check them out, apparently they are ok. She lies in her box and relaxes while hubby watches TV with her
. Today she did not eat well, which worries me. Tomorrow she really better eat more. She is wider than usual, and that's the only sign that she is pregnant. So, Karen, you never know ;)
