Coats

Been a long time since Ive posted but I still visit . Just needed to vent, my male "PJ" as adopted a few years back came down with a nasty skin allergy. After trying every cure known to man we were forced yesterday to have him shaved.

If you own a newfie just look at them for a moment right now, concentrate on that big thick coat, think of the thousands of times that you've cleaned hair up off of the floors and maybe even wished or jokingly stated " If only you were bald..."...now picture all of that hair on the floor at once as they shave him to help treat him. Appreciate the full coat, believe me.

Poor baby. I hope PJ is better soon and that his coat grows back nice and full this fall.

Yes it is a bit of a sad look.....not quite the same, but at least it does not affect their lovability

Our foster girl also had to be shaved so I know where you're coming from. Fingers crossed that both of them have beautiful new coats to show off this winter.
