Cleaning Grooming Brushes

I was wondering how to clean my wooden handle pin brush. I put Bailey's rake and comb through a dishwasher cycle but, don't want to chance ruining the wood handle on the pin brush. Any suggestions? It is mainly the cushioning part that the pins go through that is dirty.

How about just rinse in soap and water, that is what I do with mine.

I clean mine with a Lysol wipe

Thanks. We have a lot of iron ore dust here that shows up in Bailey's coat. The rusty orange residue on the brush builds up quickly. I will try these suggestions.

I spray my grooming tools off with high pressure hose of the sink with hot water and then spray with Barbacide (available from pet or beauty supply companies) to disinfect. I let them air dry.
