catered meal

I have been thinking about the catered meal on Saturday evening. I have scheduled a picnic style meal of grilled hamburgers, bratts, hot dogs, potato salad, lettuce salad, melon salad, relish tray, baked beans, pasta salad, assorted cheese and crackers, lemonade and ice tea.

I have been thinking of changing the menu to Pan Fried Chicken, home made mashed potatoes, home made chicken and noodles, green beans, corn, salad, veggie tray, melon salad, lemonade and ice tea and brownies. The price is the same.

The reason I though of this is that the picnic style catered meal is almost the same as what we will be munching on all day long.

Gary is having a fit as he says this is too formal for eating outside. So I need your imput. Which do you prefer? Do you have any suggestions?

I REALLY like the idea of chicken.... but Burgers and dogs (oops... hot dogs) are probably a more practical idea... being hand held and all. Easier to share with hairy friends as well.... HeHe

What?? Hand fed???

My Sam loves to delicately take pieces of dinner remains off a fork. It is the preferred way with my "pig" Sara where the fork is protection for fingers getting in the way
