Has anyone ever ordered from here: www.canadavetcare.com?

I've been looking for Sentinel for heartworm protection for my dogs. They've taken it for years and now it's still backordered till who knows when. Sydney is an Aussie mix and they can be sensitive to Ivermectin. I haven't had her tested for this since I've never needed to. In my search for Sentinel I've found it at this store online and it looks like I don't need a prescription. Is heartworm prevention over the counter in Canada? I called their customer service number and the gentleman said it is the original product, not the other version I found called Sentinel Spectrum. The Spectrum product has an additional ingredient for tapeworms.

I don't have a heart worm problem here but I think it is a prescription med up here. Hopefully someone from back east will respond. I know there is heart worm in the east.

Heartworm meds are prescription only here in canada. The only place to get them is from the vet.

heartworm is by prescription...i have my vet write one and use an online pharmacy. very, very, very, very few places will sell hartworm meds without it since using it on a heartworm positive dog without the right precautions can be quite dangerous for the dog. I usually fill mine in the states since i'm on the boarder. i use kv vet supply
