It was hot, but not terribly so. Fortunately, the friend who was hosting the party has a big, cold pond on her land. Needless to say, Xena (and I) spent a lot of time in there.
Odd thing: Xena gets a little freaked out when there are humans in the water with her. When she swims by, I tend to reach out and hold her, letting her pull me. She's not impressed and tends to avoid me in the water. Kinda funny. I don't think she realized humans could be in the water. Most of her swimming has been in rivers that people don't swim in. Working on getting her used to it, but if I'm drowning, I don't think Xena will be coming to the rescue.
