Boots

OK, we are probably being crazy agin  but we're considering training Katala to help out on the construction site as a nail carrier or something. Art is very involved with Habitat/Fuller center builds and would love to have Katala come with him.

We're thinking she'd probably need a good pair of boots to protect her feet from loose nails and such. Does anyone have a recommendation?

I have dog shoes to keep Sam from scratching my (actually, my landlord's floor...if it was mine, no big deal) floor, and they have the added benefit of giving him traction...since he just cannot seem to get how to negotiate slippery floors. (Tried rugs...big pain ) They are pretty durable, and stay on well, and Sam doesn't mind them-he even keeps them on when I am not home. I put baby socks on underneath, and fold the tops down over the velcro straps, which makes them harder to undo. (This was actually a bonus...I originally put the socks on to make sure the shoes would not rub off any hair.) I have Ultra Paws Durable Dog Boots. (www.ultrapaws.com) I went to their website to find out how to size them, then ordered mine from Amazon. :D They are great. They are a little tricky to get on because you want them to fit tightly, but they do not fall off. The bottoms are pretty tough...I would think they would protect her feet well enough. I helped Sam get used to his by feeding him treats every time I put one on, then distracting him while he was wearing them 'til he forgot about them. :D
