blowing dry coat yields white powder

Don't worry Jeannie, I just pulled the filter off to show what the filter captures. I even used the blower to clean the filters.

I blow Tiika and her sister every morning after their walk - only outside! Everything is coated in white, including me. I shower after grooming each day and if I don't wash my glasses after blowing them, I can't see - but they never get hot spots or any other skin problems!

When I blow mine out after they've been laying on the rocks in the runs, we all turn white. I don't think it's just dander.

Sulley gets a lot of 'dust' this time of year, and he's blown out at least weekly. It's nothing short of amazing how much comes out of his coat when we do this, but I get more now when the weather is changing than I do the rest of the winter or in the summer. We up the oils this time of year, for both of us.

Curious as to what type of oils you're using? Moo's just starting to get his feathers...and while I love the dryer for getting him clean (and for keeping all that OUT of my house), I haven't found something good to moisturize his pants and arm feathers.
