Tiika got her first leg in CKC Utility A this morning - 1st time in a Utility trial! We try again tomorrow!

Well, we didn't get the 2nd leg yesterday. It took 2 signals for her down. She did everything else and would have had a better score than on Saturday but she kept looking over her shoulder at the judge and seemed uneasy with her. The judge was very nice but stood very stiff and formal. Tiika's not used to that, I guess. She's just soooo sensitive! I'm still really proud that she did so well in her 1st two Utility trials! The judge said, "Too bad - just one signal".

Thank you! We were really just doing ring training gearing up for the Specialties where there are lots of Newfies and she doesn't look so slow compared to all the others. Around here she's the only Newf in the trials. So I was very thrilled for her to get a leg!
