She was 12 years and 9 months and lived a very good life.
Age creeps up on them so fast and you do know when it is time.

So sorry for your loss.. It's a terrible hole left in your world- we had just helped our 16 year old female lab, Maggie, pass about a month before our Newfie Sully died. Wonderful to hear that you shared so many years with her- sweet memories I'm sure, of a sweet girl.

I brought her ashes home today.
I am having a ring made from them and then scattering my treasure in the garden.
Its only a box and her spirit left at her passing but the ring will be a constant reminder of my first and most precious devilish girl.

Thank you all for your words of comfort.
Today I received the ring that I had made from a part of the ashes.
Its a bit too precious to wear for a day or two but the reason I had it made was to wear it so she could be with me (in my mind).
I need to learn how to post photos. Pretty bad that the posting photos guide starts with my name.
