Bailee (escape artist)

I have had to resort to 3 gates between my kitchen and diningroom, Bailee kept jumping and/or knocking the gates over and wala she was free, she would do this even if I only walked out to the mailbox, hopefully this will hold her although she has already tried it too (I found fur on the top of the gate LOL)

OMG!!! Maybe a full length steel bar security door inside the house would work!
All I have is a children's scissor gate holding my two in the kitchen and neither one has ever tried to jump it.

Bailee has never attempted to get over the one that is by her head only the one between the diningroom and kitchen.

Reminds me of a story...
When Emily crate was in another town (car broke down on vacation, long story) I had to buy a baby gate to keep her in the hallway.

DAY 1: Came home and dog was behind baby gate saw me then knocked it down with one paw and came over to greet me.

DAY 2: Came home, gate was still up but dog was on the opposite side of the gate and coffee table leg was chewed up.

DAY 3: Dog went to work with me :D

That picture of Bailee and her gate is hilarious! She really is an escape artist! Do you think she jumps the tall gate because it leads to where the people are? Or does she just recognize it as a challenge? Any higher and you might as well install a new wall!

Softpaws, I love that story!

Madigan is a jumper and cannot be kept in with any bate that we currently own. Unfortunately, she has shown Moya that it's possible to jump it and you know who is also doing that now.

Also last week Moya somehow realized that one corner of her crate was not fastened correctly and she could pushit open a bit...when I came home I found my kitchen destroyed and her looking oh so innocent.

The only reason Bailee is jumping there is that when I go out the front door she sees me walk past the window in the diningroom and she wants to go too  like I said she doesn't jump the other one that is there seperating the kitchen and familyroom. Guess I am going to have to get sneakier when I leave the house, that way she will think I am there and she just can't see me LOL. Good thing we don't use the diningroom much.

My little lab can sneak around any gate but the other three will just stand there and look over a gate just leaning against the wall.
I think Bailey sure has you figured out!

Don;t know which made me laugh harder - the picture of multiple gates or Softpaw's story! Thanks for sharing both!
