April 11 snow

I woke up this morning to the ground covered in white. The sides of the trees are plastered with snow, and the wind is howling.

I've lived my whole entire life here in northern IL, and never remember it snowing this time of the year, although I'm sure it happened.

We're under a winter storm warning....6-8 inches probable, with wind gusts up to 40 mph. I'm having a hard time taking this seriously...it's APRIL! But, once I get on the road and realize I can't see since the snow is blowing like the dickens, reality will set in, and I'll settle in and watch the snow come down.

We are on the border of 6-12 or 8-14.... Guess maybe I might be skiing into May.. and that would be a first!

Today is nice and sunny, so I guess I had better enjoy this while it's here, tomorrow may be fire and book while curled up on the couch...

PS Look out AC, you might be getting this one next too....

We are looking at sunny and above 0 temps all week!! New Brunswick and Nova Scotia might be the lucky ones this time as well, just like last week!

Stay safe everyone. Supposed to be in the mid-50's here and rainy. We have a chance of some light flurries tonight when it wraps around but nothing that is supposed to stick, thank goodness.

Spend as much time in the safe confines of your home digs as possible..as sidewise-snows, such as you are mentioning....are baaaad for the health! I was being wheeled to the room..down the corriders of the hospital..42 years ago..this coming May 2, having given birth to son the first..and saw the fall of light snow. ina n HB

I feel your pain, I too awoke to the white stuff covering the ground, wind is blowing so hard you feel like its going to knock you over.. The snow has turned to freezing rain, and the roads have turned to ice.. I am ready for some sunshine

We had four inches of snow last night-no wonder I am so crabby!

We had more snow on Easter Sunday than we did on Christmas day.

At least we know this won't last long. Spring will get here.....sooner or later!
