I just gave the last big chunk of Easter Ham to Sven, my Newf. It had alot of meat left on it so I thought it would take him a while. I went to check on him and he just finished it, bone and all!! I don't know how much he chewed the bone before swallowing. Are they bad? I mean can he digest it?

I have a(almost) 3 yr old male newf. A vet that know(not the vet that we use) recommended giving him Fish Liver oil for his sensitive skin and also to give him some kind of pills for joints. Is this a good idea? ------------------ Fred
