I have a one year old black male newf. I would like someone to give me an opinion on him for showing. I might want to show him confirmation and then fix him before moving on to obediance or some other activity. I live in Richfield, Ohio and so far Bailey has a great attitude and doesn't really realize he is a male just yet. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Ed

if you go to the regional newf club for your area, or an all breed dog club, you can maybe find some newf owners that can guide you and show you things.
you can find the regional clubs at the NCA look for the one that serves the area you are in.
to find an all breed dog club, look in your phone book, or try to call some dog training facilities in your area.
normally each county will have an all breed dog club.

The NCA Regional club that is closest to you is the Penn-Ohio Newfoundland Club (PONC). There are several members including one NCA Board member who is also a NCA Breed Mentor and is on the NCA Judges Education Committee. These people should be able to give you a hand in assesing the show potential of your boy.
Does his breeder show their Newfs? Would he/she be able to assist you in determing if your guy belongs in the ring?
I am an hour south of Columbus, OH and would be willing to meet you somewhere if you can't find assistance closer.
