Wooly puppies

Did your puppies have long hair? I was a puppy class last night when a man with a male newf asked me if I shaved Willow? His puppy at 11 weeks has long fluffy hair. Willow's is rather short and not fluffy at all, except on her head. Got me wondering if hers will grow out eventually.

Here is Rafe the day I got him at 15 weeks. He wasnt that wooly but he does now have a very strait coat. They grow and change so much in their first months and mine lost all his puppy coat by about 7 months.

He's adorable. I love their eyes. Your Rafe looks like my Willow in the body. Her hair is basically straight. The male Newf in class is like a puff ball. He looks twice as big as he is because of hair poofing out all over.

some puppies do have more hair than others,,,,,and in my experience it can indicate coat later on...
In what way? I'm curious!

I'm so happy to see the question posted about coats on puppies. Paige is almost 16 weeks old now and her coat is sort of like lamb's wool. For the life of me I can't remember if Bella and Gabe had this curly/wooly coat too or not. You think you'll never forget but then... Of course I have a severe case of CRS anyway!

Oliver is definately wooly. Here's Willow about the same age - lots less hair. I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing. Less hair equals less shedding maybe - that's a plus.
