water rescue seminar

Just got back on Monday night from a wonderful water rescue dog seminar put on by the Penn-Ohio Newfoundland Club. Roger Frey was the instructor and the workshop was great. 34 dogs! Wow! We don't get many more than that for our National Specialty show here in Canada! It was so nice to meet all the Newf lovers and their Newfs, too. The PONC group sure know how to put on a good workshop - lots of organization and hard work on their part! Now we're looking forward to the Central Ontario workshop in 2 1/2 weeks!

I wondered how it was Joan. I was going to e-mail you. How did Tiika & Splash do? And you took your bag of goodies for the fundraiser? :sunflower:

It was great and all the dogs were super. Tiika even jumped off the boat into shallow water which was phenomenal as far as I was concerned and she did every other exercise just great! Splash was awesome! - considering she wasn't even swimming much before, She did everything we asked of her! She even did an underwater retrieve at the river this morning because Tiika was getting treats for doing it so she did it, too!!
