Thank you everyone, I've got my fingers crossed. Ya wouldn't that be great to have Newf Netters win 2 weeks in a row...last week Sawyer, this week Ben!!!
Angela, Ben has done very well with his surgery. He still has a slight limp that gets more exagerated when he over does it. Our vet assures me that this will go away once his muscle tone is built up more, he is still lacking muslce tone in his hip from not using it for so long. But he is not in pain, he has a brightness in his eyes like he never had before. His attitude is so much better, he comes bouncing at me now like Tigger. It's like he has been re-born. We are still working on putting on more muscle, but he has gained alot already even along the back of his spine. He is really starting to fill out now. He is also able to do 5km walks now, although he is tired by the end. And another bonus, we weaned him off of Phenobarbitol in January and he has been seizure free ever since. YAHOO. I am praying that, that is all behind us. I wish I knew how to post pix here then I would, I have been posting a couple at bigpaws only. But thank you for asking how he is doing...he is still a work in progress...but aren't we all.
