Topline

At 19 months, Yogi has somewhat of a swayback. Will his topline level out anymore? Or will it remain this way? I believe he is pretty much finished as far as height and bone growth, but will probably just fill out between now and next year. Just wondering if his swayback will ever change.

Yogurt, depends on how severe it is, i would swim the heck out of him, see if it improves, sometimes simple excersise can correct it if not to severe.

Yogurt, it depends on the lines your newf is coming from. Lana's turning 4 next month and she did not start filling out until this year and didn't level out on growth until she was about 3. Linsey filled out up towards 5 yrs old.

And why should it matter if you're not planning to show. If you're going to show then you may just have to wait a little longer to see if the topline levels more.

No, I do not plan to show so maybe it really doesn't matter. I was just curious is all... Not to compare humans and dogs since bone structure is very different, but when people have swaybacks it usually effects the posture along with some aches and pains down the line. Didn't know if it was something that would effect him negatively in the future.
