tobaggan fun

Just wondering if anyone else out there has a Newfie who is absolutely snow crazy. Our "puppy" in quotes because at 8 months and over 100 lbs, he hardly seems like a puppy. That is until you see him playing, and tripping over his feet.
When we are outside with the kids, he has to be right there going down the hill after the tobaggan. He is either one step behind it or on top of it riding down the hill with the kids. He is already very protective of his kids. And boy does he put up a fuss when his mom, me
, and his kids get on the tobaggan. He really has to keep up with us, I'm sure to make sure we're all safe. Is this a common behaviour in Newfies to show so much protectiveness of their families at such a young age? He is such a wonderful addition to our family. Another question, do you guys think it's ok for his joints to be going up and down our tobaggan hill with us? I don't want to hurt his development in any way. Thanks,

Jennifer

Jennifer, bringing home a Newfy is one of the best (if not THE best) thing you could've done for your family! He will give you his heart completely and never ask for anything in return but to let him be with you...and cookies!

You've experienced on that snow-covered hill what all Newf-owned people have found out before you - unconditional love and eternal friendship. Don't ever let him go. He will be the very best friend you and your children could ever have.

Oh wish we could have snow ! Sounds like so much fun, i would be careful about those joints though. We are suposed to get our first snow this wednesday , but they never last over 24 hours.
