Tick prevention

I've had great success this spring and summer using vinegar as a flea preventative, but was out walking yesterday shooting (camera) and got a couple of ticks on me. Thank goodness I didn't take the dogs.

What do you all use for tick prevention. They can get pretty bad around here and when the weather cools off the boys and I will be back in the woods. Should I just go back to frontline then? Thanks

I use the Springtime "Bug Off", and a black walnut tincture in their food. I apply a combo of almond oil and rose geranium to their bodies. And when I remember I try to spritz them with "Cloud 9" before they go out.

We've had really good luck with Ark Naturals Neem spray (I think they changed the name though but it's still the same thing). I use it myself for mosquitos in the garden and for ticks. It's not waterproof so you do reapply often.

Largo,

I forgot to answer the rest of your questions. As far as I am concerned I will not use chemicals on them. They haven't had Frontline, Advantix, etal for years.

I guess that a lot has to do with their exposure. My guys aren't really exposed.

But, this is MOPO or just MHO

HTH,
