The Mars Coat King VS The Furminator-your opinions?

I think I remember this topic from an earlier discussion and the Mars coat King was by far the better product. The furminator was not the best for long hair breeds. I bought the Mars Coat King because of that discussion.

I was just in a local feed store that carries some pet supplies. I was buying a 2 row rake. No "real" pet store seems to have them They also sell Furminator. They did try to get me to buy one, and I said I read they were not good on newfs (Snuffles was with me too) from what I read here. The lady said she had one dog it work well on, and one it did not. I wish I remembered what she told me. I WILL have a Mars Coat King by spring this year. I have tried one on him twice.

Hehe, if I got one now, Snuffles would not have any undercoat left for winter as much as I brush him. And the Park District (99% of Snuffles brushing is at the park) may charge me dumping fees if I put all that fur in their garbage

I have a lab and a Newf and I agree that the Furminator is good for the lab, but the Mars Coat King is great for the Newf (I have tried the Furminator on her, but it does not work very well.) The Mars Coat King is actually less expensive than the Furminator and works very quickly on a Newf.
