Thanks for posting this Annie.
Can I share the West Coast's part in this story?
About 20 of us on Vancouver Island decided to "participate" in this event as we have Mile 0 of the Trans Canada Highway in Victoria, and the official Newf activities with the Queen were to go on at the end of the Trans Canada Highway St. John's Nfld.
At the same time exactly as the Queen was being greeted by all the Newfoundland dogs at St. Johns we and our 20 Newfs marched down from the park here and congregated at Mile O in Victoria.
Our little trek was covered by local and CBC radio stations and we even got onto local TV.
My Harley lead the procession pulling his cart.
We enlisted the help of the Newfoundland Club of Victoria (the people who came from Nfld) they carried the Newfoundland flag and played Newfie music (which is very special, as AC may tell you!!)
Afterwards we all had a big Newfie picnic!!
