I just wanted to thank all of you who told of the peroxide trick. I think it saved us a trip to the vet!!!

Yesterday, my "get into everything" boy, Newman, decided to EAT a rather large piece of rope. Of course, the rope was not on his menu, so it was just the more enticing!
I was just getting ready to leave for work, so I filled a sport bottle half full of peroxide, made Rich (my boyfriend) hold his mouth open, and proceeded to squirt the stuff down his throat. Well, ya'll were right! Right after the squirt, up came the rope and it seemed like TONS of dogfood.

Of course, I made Newmie's dad (Rich) stay with him for several hrs after I left for work just to make sure he was OK. But I was really happy the end result was: NO BLOCKAGE!

Thanks again! I really am glad we have this forum so we who need help can rely on those more wise souls.

Great to know it worked and that Newmie is okay!
