Tail?

Since Maggie's tail hair grew in about a year ago, it has grown in very course and is extremely difficult to brush/comb. It have tried Ice on Ice and other conditioners but I can't seem to do anything with it. I'm afraid its going to become one big mat.

I can line comb the course hair on her pants, but it doesn't work on the tail.

Tricia can attest, her tail is incredibly fluffy. She has certainly made up for having a bald tail for so many years!

If anyone has suggestions, I'd love to hear them!

I have to brush katy's tail daily, leave it for one day and she is highly likely to be tangled.it is very thick, but not coarse

If it is too long, you can trim the tail shorter. Find the end of the tail bone first, then trim off the excess, with thinners. Then hold the tail at then end and extend it out straight. Then trim off the straggly long ends hanging down, which is where the mats usually are.

Elvis' tail is really thick, so we thin it out. I cut it short at the base where it blends in with his bum/thighs, and then cut out any mats down the length of it. Basically what Lynn said!
