Funny you should mention Sybil....I was just remembering the movie with Sally Fields the other day!!!! Something I was reading.................:idea:

Many years ago, it was as fascinating then as it is now. The original made for TV movie with Sally Field and Joanne Woodward was excellent. I think Sally Field won an Emmy for that.

Dissociative Identity Disorder is one of the more fascinating concepts in psychiatry as are Narcisstic and Borderline Personality Disorders. Frequently features of both are coexisting with a dissociative personality disorder; gradiosity, somatizing, inability to empathize. I found it difficult to relate to psych patients with these manifestations. They are so manipulative and coniving...and very self-destructive.
