Sunny's playground

Thought I'd post a pic of one of the areas Sunny plays in. This spot is only accessable by walking or ATV, so we only go there in good weather. Hope to find a pic of his favorite beach soon.

We live in St Lawrence Newfoundland, on the Burin Peninsula.

The above photo is Hare Ear Bay, so hubby tells me. I just know it's between Shoal Cove and Chambers Cove, two places we frequent.
It's funny what these dogs can get you to do. Buy new vehicles, new houses etc. Sunny got us to move to Nfld! Always wanted to come back but just didn't seem possible, then Sunny appeared, and worked his magic on hubby, a major feat I might add. Hubby's even talking of retiring here now.
Oh bliss!

What a beautiful photo. You are so lucky to have nature at its best. Can I come visit you with my 2 newfies??????
Just kidding

Hi Lynne,
I am working on that, it's just that Sunny takes a better picture than I.

I now have about 8 rolls to be developed, took pics every time we went to the beach, but I'm pretty sure I'm not in any of them, since others find my camera a bit hard to work, but you never know.

This area, though rugged, is one of the most scenic places I've ever been, and there are so many trails to explore!
Once I get the films developed, I'll show you too, where it was that monster cow came out of, and where Sunny and I were on the beach. They still have yet to catch him, last I heard, poor thing.

Forgot to mention, anyone who happens to make it over this way, is more than welcome, especially with their newfs, Jeannie.

Most hotels/motels on the island allow pets too. There is a commercial (on the local channel out of St John's running now), that shows a family enjoying their stay there and shows their dog in their room with them, loose. Pretty fancy hotel too.

We plan on going to St Pierre et Miquelon this summer, it's so close to us, and I am especially interested since I read somewhere, at some time, that that is where the solid black newfs came from, landseers, from Nfld. Don't know how accurate that is, anyone else know?

Just checked the distance on MapQuest. It is 2276.2 miles and will take 43 hours and 26 minutes to drive from my house to St. Lawrence. I may have to wait until I retire or my husband buys another plane then we can fly there.
