Here's a pic of Sunny's favorite beach, and mine too I might add. That's hubby standing there watching him. We usually have this spot all to ourselves.

"Professional status" lurker here. I have been lurking on Newf-L for over a year and have been checking on this list for a couple of months. It's time to come out of the closet! Glenda, your pics of Newfoundland are amazing. Sad that you lost 8 rolls to wrong exposure, cuz I want to see more! I can't help but think about the wave action washing away all the dead undercoat off a newf when I see the pics of the surf there. I have a spayed female that produces TONS of undercoat and she's never been shaved. She's just a hairy girl. But we get a lot of quality bonding time during grooming, and to think I might miss all that if she had a thinner coat. She and I are best friends.
When was the pic of Sunny and your husband taken? Recently? Isn't it winter there? What's the average temperature (of the air) at this time of year?

Hi Noreen,
Nice to hear from you, that picture was taken in Oct. of this year, (we just moved here in July). It was fairly warm then, I'd say in the 50's. It did not get cold until after halloween. We had 21 straight of rain in Nov. Started to snow in December but was all gone till just before Christmas, and then the storms hit and we have lots!

It's not real cold here, just under the freezing mark.
The salt water, waves and sand do keep Sunny clean, I did not have to brush him much at all, but do now since we haven't been to the beach in a while.
Found another roll of film under the console in the 'burb, got it developed and it's pics of Sunny in his tent, forgot all about them. I am still missing a roll that I took of him in the harbour, by the fishing boats. I will post the good ones for you when I find them.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I look forward to more pictures from Newfoundland as well as other pics of newfs. A newf with fishing boats, I can't wait! I'll have to study GAD's site on picture production for this site and see if I can come up with something from our humble home.
