starting a newf club?

I live in Yuma, AZ:icon_lamer::icon_lamer::icon_lamer:...enough said about this place. And of course, there are not a whole lot of newfies here. Only a handful. But I'd like to have a newfie club but dont know how to start one. It would be so nice for Breezy to play and work with other newfies. Is it a good idea? or should I not even bother with it? Any ideas??

When I got Abbey, I wanted to do the same thing.......I didn't get much help. Here's what we did. Get business cards printed with " Got Newf?" on them, with contact information. Do you have a dog park near by? On the business card, also put a day and time you can meet. We do the first Saturday of every month at 4 in the winter and 10 am in the summer.....before it gets too hot. Also go to the local Vet clinics with your cards and Petco as well as Petsmart. After you have a few members, get them to pass out the cards too. Also, the paper will run this type of add free. We have about 12 members with 18 dogs.
