sores on tummy

Our three year old male Samuel has sores on his tummy. They have come and gone in the past but this time there are several and are now crusty and one has a lump under it. He doesn't seem to be in any pain. But he IS very clingy and seems down. I am with this guy ALL the time. He is an indoor dog and only goes out potty and for his 3 walks a day. So I know he hasn't gotten into anything.

Has any one else had this problem?

Getting concerned and would appreciate any input.

Thanks.

What sometimes starts out as a simple rash can get infected by bacteria and turn into something worse (staph infection. If that is the case a trip the vet would be in order to treat it. My first course of action with any rash is to clean with antibacterial soap and pat dry. If that does not clear it in short order I use a mixture of gentian violet, alcohol, and boric acid, and sometimes gold bond if I just think they're laying in the wet grass too long and its irritating their skin. If you've got any concerns that it is something more than a simple rash I'd advise you speak to your vet as to your next course of action. Rashes/sores can be attributed to many things.
