Skin Issue??

Hi my sister-in-law got her first Newfie Friday. It was not the best breeder. Anyway the poor thing really smelled when they picked her up. She had what appeared to be like wood shavings in her coat when they stopped here. So I insisted that she bath her and brush her out. Lots more of the wood shaving stuff came out, during the brushing. But she still has bumps down in her fur. They look like scabs, but not really, they are fleshed color. They are really hard to see, I mean you have to dig in her fur. But you can feel them. Other wise she is utd on all her shots, doesn't have worms, eats and potties well, REALLY well. She is not scratching or knawing at herself. Got any ideas what this might be? Thanks for any help Sheehan

It might be an irritation from the wood shavings in the fur. If she just got the pup on Friday, she'll be wanting to take it in for a vet check soon, so have the vet check it out and see what they think.
