My little girl has become a woman! LuLu Belle is starting her first heat...I have NO clue as to what to expect...can someone give advice? She just started spotting this am...but she is acting crazy, more than normal...she wants to go outside every second...do I need to put a diaper on or will she take care of herself? She is now 10.5 months old...

Just make sure she does not go anywhere unsupervised or where any dogs can get ot her. I hav a very secure kennel run for day-time outside periods and I would iether crate my bitch or the only entire dog I have..never the two shall meet. And they will try to escape as it is in their nature to find a mate...do not blame them for that it is something they cannot help. And dogs from miles away will be able to smell that she is in season. Mine have kept them selves clean, I have personally never used a nappy

I just said that this morning that I won't survive the next 3 weeks! She insists on going outside OFTEN...she went to bed at 8 last night and at 3 she wanted out. She did throw up a little bit in her crate and she won't let me near her lady parts...I tried to wipe her off a little this am but she isn't having it at all. Really wish 3 weeks wasn't part of this in season thing...a week should have been plenty! LOL.
