Can someone please tell me what shampoo works best? Gradey's white I can't seem to get clean. I don't have this problem with Tallulah. His legs, and chest is stained and after 3 baths no luck.. I have currently tried In pets choice Emu oil shampoo, Veterinary formula oatmeal& Tea Tree oil.

You want to be very careful when using tea tree oil shampoo. It has been known to effect some dog's motor skills temporarily--mostly landseer and landseer recessive

Try Chris Christenson (spelling) whitening shampoo. I know Laurel uses prell shampoo with great results. Do a search. This has been hatched over time and time again.

ha ha! I just tried Chris Christensen's white on white. Here's a picture:

I didn't think I'd get the bully-stick stains off of Nanook's front legs EVER!

Jeannie, I had know idea about tea tree oil I will throw it out, thank you so much.
Nessa, Nanook looks wonderful. I will give it a try, thank you so much. Ok this might sound crazy but can I use it on the black fur also?

You can use whitening shampoos on the black but do not us black shampoos on the white. Whitening shampoos will brighten the black.

We had no problem with it on the black. We didn't use the black on black at all so I can't report on that. Nanook isn't a show dog so brightening up his white is purely for my own satsifaction but I LOVED the way this shampoo got his front legs white again; they are always either yellow or even RED from holding his bully sticks and treats and drooling on himself. His feathers too get filthy and now they practically glow.

Here's a faux-stacking picture so you can see how the black looks after bathing in the white on white

I ordered the shampoo from the show dog store. Can anyone suggest a place that has it cheaper. The price was not bad however the shipping was half the price of the shampoo. Thanks!

Nanook looks great!! Tanya be careful with using Prell. It can strip out all the natural oils and leave the skin very dry. I would definitly use the CC white on white. If you start to feel the feathers/hock/tail drying out, make sure you add a conditioner to them.

I started using a shampoo called 'Pure Paws' for everyday shampooing and use it sometime for show. A shampoo and conditioner I used a lot haven't been able to get it anymore. Pure Paws is concentrated 8-1. http://purepaws.net/ . It's showing up at the dog shows a lot. It seems to be gentle. While I have nothing against Chris Christensen products and do use some of them for show grooming follow the directions about conditioning as some tend to be harsh on the coat over the long-term. I use alternate shampoos from E-Z Groom - Crystal Black and Crystal White for show. If I really want to strip the coat then I turn to Chris Christensen to do it and the other choice is original Dawn will do same as Prell.

You can order Chris Christensen directly from their website - http://www.chrissystems.com/
