Severe skin allergy

Vet says she is a classic example of a pet with this condition. Anyone with any experience in this? I have been to four different vets trying to find a fix. She is a healthy 2 year old female that has lost a lot of hair. She is taking Hydroxyine and antihistimine and that helps her alot. What I need is a good vet in the Baltimore area that knows News.

Don, I would highly suggest getting a thyroid test done. Also, sorry, I'm on the wrong side of the US to help with vet referrals.

Oh, another thing, sometimes allergies can be caused by food. Have you tried a hypoallergenic diet? Ask your vet to look into the diet and thyroid.

Don, is she on a good flea prevention program? Some Newfs are so allergic that the saliva from ONE flea, and you won't see any evidence of only one, can set them to chewing themselves raw. Might also be worth a try.
