Secret Santa!!!!!!

That time of year is quickly approaching and I'm so excited to get the ball rolling on this years secret Santa! I know how excited Turner and Willow were to open their package full of toys and tasty treats last year and I can’t wait to see the pictures from this year’s exchange. Here are the guidelines for those that want to participate.

General Rules:

To sign up, send me a private message on Newf Net, with your "real" name, Newf Net name, and an email address that you check frequently. Do not send any other info yet...wait for the form to be emailed to you. Put "Secret Santa" as the title of the message.

I will send you the form, via the email address you give me, for you to fill out with info about the pets you would like to include in the Secret Santa Gift Exchange.

RETURN the form to me right away, please. Send it to my email address (which I will give you, when you sign up). Please do not return it to me on Newf Net, as it complicates things.

After the sign ups are complete, I will draw names for the match, then send you the information for your Secret Santa. Some pets have special needs and requests, so please wait to shop until you receive your match.

You can sign your pets up to participate as "Individuals" (each one will send a gift to another pet participating this way), or as a "Group" (if you have multiple pets and find it easier to exchange with another multi-pet family as a "group", rather than buying and sending to several pets in different locations).

You can also let me know if you are willing to mail to recipients in other countries, or if you would prefer to mail to only your home country.

Rough spending limits are $20 for a gift to an individual, and $50 for a group gift. Shipping adds a bit more, especially if you are willing to send out of your home country.

The gifts are for the critters, although many folks also include a card or token gift for the humans in the family, too.

We have participants from all over the world (literally), so it is very important to MAIL EARLY, to be sure packages get through customs and to the recipients, prior to the online party.

One last rule, and this is a big one:
Only sign up if you will follow through with the exchange, and make sure you mail the gift(s) to arrive in plenty of time for the party. Nothing sadder than a participant who didn't get their gift in time!

That's it! Let the sign-ups begin!

Cut off date is OCTOBER 31st. After that date, the exchange matches will be made and sent out, so please don't procrastinate.

Either everyone already sent you pm's or your box is full of other important stuff (like last years stuff) but I got an error message saying your box is full

I agree. Maybe we could work it out so 2 families are paired with Ronnie's gang? I think someone suggested that last year. :)

You could just send a group gift, throw a couple treats and a couple toys maybe a chew bone in a box and ta da you are all set.

So your babies get a little something they could be divided into two small groups the same could be done for you with a group gift. In my house even the box is a new toy for both dogs and cats. :)

Postage from here to overseas is horrendous so maybe it's the same from Australia?
To send a letter to England or Europe costs me $2.50.
