SCNC Water Test

Anyone here going next weekend to the SCNC Water test? I, along with my husband Mike and my friend Angela are going. And we are bringing small white fluffy dog aka flower aka puppy. DOg weighs 12 pound soaking wet and is all white, so we should be very easy to spot. Please introduce yourselves, as I only know a couple of people, and I'm not sure they are going. This is going to be my husbands first exposure to mulitple newfs at once.

ALso, any pointers about what to expect are appreciated, as I have never been to a water test before.

Hmmmmm, Maybe!
I don't think she'd like that too much. I can just picture it though. Small, white, and looking like a drowning rat (her only use for water is warm and in the bath tub with bubbles) swimming around being followed by a bunch of newfs trying to rescue her LOL!

Somehow, I don't think she'd approve. She's a little on the pampered side....

Hi! It's going to be good to see you again Laura! Russell & I will be there with our "crew of 3"... none of which are entered. We'll be there all weekend... Russell will be one of the stewards... I'll be working in and around the Fundraising tent... (Bring you wallets). I was the test secretary last year, so I'm going to be helping this year's test secretary from time to time.

Anyone is welcome to attend... all dogs are welcome to.. they just must be on a leash! Hope to see many of you there!

I'm not sure exactly what will be there, but there will be water test shirts, which I helped to design!!! There will be a myriad of Newfie goodies.... including some really cute stuffed Newfies, artwork, etc.

Sorry to say that I cannot attend the water test this year. But I want a t-shirt!!!!! I have too many dogs booked for boarding to get away. BUMMER

I will be at the draft test. Sara and Panda will get their TDD titles and Sam her DD title. (Well maybe--we all know how Sam can be) I am going to the SCNC page now to get the exact date of the draft test so I can not book any boarders that weekend. Isn't there a draft work shop coming up soon???

Draft test is Oct 6th. At Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis, IN. But the fun begins on Saturday with practice and setup and everything else.....Hope to see you there.

I checked the website today and put the draft test on my calender. We'll see. I'll be really getting into classes then. I probably will only be able to day trip on Sunday.

Well, the car is emptied of the usualy work stuff (I am an educator and usually work out of my car. It's full of gas. My frind just called, she is on the way over so we can hit Kroger. I made Mike pack last night before he went to bed so we could leave right when he gets home. We're camping at the KOA (if anyone else here is, look us up). And we'll be at the test all weekend.

I'm really excited. Hope to see you all there. Look for the fuzzy little white dog (she even got a BATH!)

WOW! WHat a fun weekend this was! So many newfs to play with. I got quite a newf fix let me tell you. It was SO neat to see these dogs doing what they were bred for. I have never seen anything like it. And I got to meet lots of cool people. I can't wait for the draft test in the fall. Hopefully, my school scedule will cooperate and I can go.
