Hubby and I took Molly fishing with us today. Until today, I always said no to letting any of the dogs on the fishing boat. Mom's worry, you know. Eating bait, getting caught in a fish hook OUCH! But, hubby persisted today and I finally gave in. We were out for 5 hours. The fishing boat is large, she can walk around. I am so impressed with my salty dog
. She had the time of her life. She is always willing to get onto our pleasure boat, but the fishing boat has no platform. No problem. She hopped right in. She spent the whole day looking at the scenery, rocking with the boat, had her sea legs right away. (she usually sits in one of the built in sofas on the pleasure boat). She stood up front, wind blowing in her face, even climbed up onto the ledge of the boat and sat there for a while.
The only near mishap we had was when I decided to use a bobber once. The second it hit the water, she was ready to jump in after the "ball". And she nearly made it in too. Dad caught her in flight and drug her butt back in. I quickly pulled the "ball" in and put it away.
It always amazes me how Salty a newf can be. It's just in their blood. My Salty dog Molly
