Raised Black Spot...

My girl Koda is almost 6 ears old and except for a thyroid condition, which is well controlled with meds, she is very healthy. Two weeks ago, I noticed a tiny bump on her back which was a little weepy. I cleaned it and didn't think much more of it until tonight when I noticed that the spot is still there. The spot is raised a bit, black and mostly round; it is on her back about her left hip and is about the size of a pencil eraser round.

I am freaking out and know I am gonna call the vet in the morning but does anyone have any idea what it might be?

I think we could give all sort of negative potential diagnosis.....It is probably best seen by a vet.....weepy and black can be quite a few things, hopefully one of the benign ones, Sending :hugs: and positive thoughts :hugs: Ronnie

I'm with Ronnie, just sending big giant hugs, Newfy kisses, and fingers and paws crossed for something easy to fix!

yes, vet, but it sounds a lot like the mite bites I was seeing on some fosters this summer, so hopefully it is something that simple to take care of. If the vet agrees, Revolution worked well for us to help clear things up.

I would have the vet check just to be on the safe side. Hoping that it is nothing to be concerned about. My Yorkie developed a couple of those type of things on her back a few years ago. They look nasty and they have oozed on occasion, but the vet said that they were just a type of wart and nothing to be worried about.
