The box with the red X is your browser telling you it couldn't see the picture. Either the pic is no longer there, or it was posted from Geocities where they don't allow you to view the picture elsewhere.
Try this - right-click on the red x, then choose properties. In the properties window will be a url like this: http://www.gad.net/Newfs/something/else/picture.jpg
copy that URL by selecting it and right-clicking (choose copy), then go back to your browser and past the URL into the location (or address) bar up top. You should see the picture if it still exists.
