question for everyone

I have a question to ask everyone and feel free to say no but I have a company that is willing to donate a few items for our event, this is the company, some of you may have seen or heard of them. web page Anyway, there is one catch that I have to send them names of people that are going & addresses so they can also send each person their catalog, they assured me that they would not give out the names & address to other solicitors but I wanted to see what you guys thought or if you would even be interested in sending me your name & address to get a catalog so they will donate a few things. Your call, I have several things already so if we choose not to do this its fine too, just let me know what you think..........Rhonda

I've searched many posts regarding the Newf Net Get Together, but can't find details like when and where. I would love to participate and could extend the invitation to Newf Neighborhood as well if you like. I would also be more than happy to donate Love Newfs items.

Gina,

You are welcome to attend since you are a member of NN. It is a get together of what we consider our NN "family" so an open invitation to the Newf Neighborhood is not proper. Of course if any of those people would join NN, get to know the people and decided to come, then they would be allowed to come. We are not advertising this on any other newf lists as it is for NN members only.

I have not been on to keep tabs and I miss you all so much.. but .. I do know Gina and would love for her to attend. I also thought I saw this posted on Club Newf as an invite. So it who knows..who posted on other lists per say. The people attending might be on both sites as well. Who cares as long as it is all organized. I know all the efforts that are going into it and I commend you all. I have to jump in soon.

I agree with Patty that a newf person is basically a newf person. If the invites have already been opened up to include Club Newf as indicated, then I don't see any harm in opening the intivation to Newf Neighborhood. But because Jeannie is being the gracious host that she is, I think she should have some type of say in a total limit of people perhaps??? But for the most part, most club newf people also belong to newf.net, but dont' always post. And it would be easy for Gina to have newf neighborhoos sign up for newf.net tomorrow, and then they would all be invited. So....I completely respect Jeannie's right to put a number on the amount of people/dogs if she sees it getting way out of hand. But otherwise, a newf community is a newf community to me. mj

Patty, NO I have not. I decided to drop the issue on CN since no one seemed interested. I only posted there because so many people are members of both forums. Some that post there a lot only post here a little so I wanted them to see it.

As far as inviting the Newf Neighborhood, well if they all want to sign up as members of NN I see no problem. I just don't think it is right to extend an open invitation with one newf group and not another newf group. I have not even extended an invitation to my own regional newf club (SCNC). Many SCNC members know about our get together and some have joined NN just to be able to attend.

Bottom line, anyone that joins NN can come no matter how long they have been a member. It does not matter if they just lurk or actively post.
