Purina Pro Plan Shredded - Which bag is good for both my dogs?

Help me, oh wise ones...

My Moose started doing something peculiar the other day - it looked like he was taking a big mouthful of food and hoarding it, dropping it and eating it. Turns out he was just doing that to spit out the "nutrient" bits in the Blue Buffalo food (my chiweenie does it too) so he could eat around them, so I'd like to switch them to Purina Pro Plan Shredded. (I bought a tiny bag and tested it - they LOVED it!)

So my question is: Is there a healthy balance of Purina Pro Plan that would work for both of my dogs, or should I buy them two separate bags?
I looked it up and noticed there are different analysis data on each bag of food. I was wondering if I should get Moose the Large Breed formula and feed my 13 pound chiweenie the healthy weight, or if the "all life stages" bag would work for both? Kind of an odd question, but Moose and Ollie usually end up eating food from each others bowls anyway and well, it's hard trying to figure out what to feed a giant and a rat.

Thanks!

We use the ProPlan Selects. It has smaller pieces. And use Adult version for Moose. Ours have never had any sort of puppy food.

Perfect, thanks! We'll try that one. Looks like a lot of options - what flavor do feed, or is one better for Moose over the other since he's teething and 5 months old now?

I tried mixing a bit of the pro plan shredded in with their food this morning. Of course they're both smarter than me and only ate the new food (bet they're hungry right now!). I'll keep trying to mix and slowly shift them over to it.

Yes, they are smart that way! Maggie often does this to pick out and eat whatever veggies I mix in and leaves the kibble. :banghead:

Although sometimes if we are in the living room when she is hungry she will go into the kitchen, pick up a mouthful, bring it into the living room, drop it on the carpet, then eat slowly. Then repeat the process until she's finished.

Too funny that you can't get kids or dogs to eat veggies if they don't want to! There must be something magical about carpet because mine do that too as well as my parents dogs. At least my little dog Ollie is a good vacuum and will pick up any stray pieces Moose leaves behind (or can't see because of his big fat head!)
