Usually the breeder will give you specific instructions on how to feed your puppy. An abrupt change could make the puppy sick.

look at this food, this is what I started to feed my dogs, after concerns that I may not be balancing his meals properly myself. In attition to this, the dogs still get raw bones on a regular basis, as well as scraps. It was recomended by my vet, and looks expensive, but one bag really does last a very long time.

Hi Chad,
Dr Billinghursts Grow you Pups with bones is a good read. But do talk to your breeder before changing your pups diet.

Other good books are Dr Pitcairns guide to natural health and Wendy Volhards Holestic Guide to a healthy dog.

Please remember that a balanced diet is required, and an unbalanced homemade diet can do more harm than good.

Yes I do feed raw, and have done since Christmas, but I have also read about 10 books on the topic. So do your research first.

Congrats on the new fur baby,

Chad, congratulations on your new newfie pup! Male? Female?? Name? Post a pic for us, so we can all ooooh and aaaahh over it

Our breeder has us feeding a certain brand of large puppy kibble. Our dogs have done well on it, but it does contain grains. I am now looking into other varieties of foods, which allergy-prone dogs do well on.

We also give our newfs Springtime's Joint Health supplements every day.

Allergy prone may want to look at Natural Balance http://www.naturalbalanceinc.com which has pretty good selection duck, venison, vegetarian.

Large breed puppy food I just bought the one Solid Gold http://www.solidgoldhealth.com/ has. There is a new arrival here, Brooke. Be posting pictures when I have time.

Yes, don't want to do abrupt change. I was given some food by breeder and mixing it in with new one and doing a slow change.
